Use of stop payment instructions

To add an extra layer of protection for consumers, when a cancellation request is received Minna also issues a stop payment instruction to its partner Visa for that specific merchant transaction. This ensures no further payments can be taken from a customer’s account after a cancellation request has been made.

In some cases, the consumer may have a binding period remaining on the contract that prevents an immediate cancellation.

To ensure that consumers do not breach contracts with service providers, Minna provides detailed information about the status of cancellation requests via in-app notifications. allowing consumers to easily unblock payments whenever needed.
